Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: May 16, 2026

This page gives a public-facing summary of DMVI's baseline acceptable-use expectations for websites, portals, dashboards, support systems, and software-enabled services.

In plain English: use the systems lawfully, do not misuse the software, do not try to break into anything, and do not deploy DMVI products in a way that ignores the legal or technical requirements the customer is supposed to handle.

If a signed agreement, product-specific workflow, or separate security instruction says something more specific, that more specific written document controls.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to DMVI websites, support systems, customer portals, dashboards, software-enabled services, APIs, and connected software made available with DMVI products or proposed solutions.

It is intended to reflect the practical use expectations that already appear in DMVI's sales and services agreement templates, especially around lawful deployment, software misuse, and customer responsibility.

2. Lawful and Authorised Use

Users may access and use DMVI systems only for lawful, authorised, and commercially appropriate purposes connected to legitimate evaluation, purchase, deployment, support, management, or operation of DMVI products or services.

Customers remain responsible for verifying and complying with legal requirements, regulations, restrictions, certifications, and deployment rules that apply in the jurisdiction where the products or services will be used.

3. Software and System Misuse

  • Do not reverse engineer or decompile DMVI software or related product components.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised access, privilege escalation, credential abuse, scraping of protected systems, automated abuse, denial-of-service activity, or security testing without written permission.
  • Do not upload, transmit, or introduce malicious code, malware, ransomware, or other disruptive material into DMVI systems or connected equipment.
  • Do not interfere with telemetry, dashboards, portals, support workflows, or other users' authorised access.
  • Do not use DMVI systems in a manner not permitted or not otherwise recommended, facilitated, described, or condoned by DMVI where the controlling agreement says those limits apply.

4. Customer Content and Deployment Responsibility

Customers remain responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of the wording, logos, content, data, instructions, and operational materials they place into DMVI systems or onto DMVI products.

Customers are also responsible for intellectual-property clearance, regulatory compliance, and the suitability of the intended operating environment, including proper power, reliable connectivity, and indoor placement unless a special written specification says otherwise.

5. Accounts and Access Control

Users are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity carried out under their assigned access.

DMVI may reset credentials, limit access, or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, contract enforcement, non-payment, or service administration.

6. Enforcement and Suspension

DMVI may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend, limit, or terminate access where it reasonably believes a user has violated this policy, created a security risk, misused the licensed software, or used DMVI systems outside the permitted scope.

DMVI may also preserve and disclose relevant information where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights, property, and safety.

DMVI may update this policy from time to time as systems, software, security requirements, and customer workflows evolve.
